FIGURE 3 Immature monocytic cells. A group of immature monocytic cells including monoblasts were present in BAL fluid prepared for flow cyometric analysis and stained by a commercial modified Wright-Giemsa method (Hema 3; Fisher Diagnostics; Middletown, VA). These blasts show abundant cytoplasm and delicate chromatin similar to the morphology of the monoblasts present in the bone marrow aspirates from the patient.
