17 RECOMENDATIONS The promotion of industries, apart from mining, is needed in order to improve, not only the economic performance of the economy, but the job creation and the improvement of multidimensional development Poverty reduction is a great challenge in Zambia, that must be the priority, and should be sought out through programs which approach seeks to create positive long run impacts The allocation of resources and income within the economy needs to improve its efficiency and the inequality have to decrease Regarding institutions, the structure should be more developed in order to improve in terms of corruption and inequality The government should implement policies that counterattack the negative externalities driven by the environmental damage caused by the mining industry The incentives for foreign investments should guarantee certain welfare level for population
