1 SUBMITTED BY EDGEFX TEAM
REMOTE SPEED CONTROL BY THYRISTOR TRIGGER ANGLE CHANGE WITH DISPLAY OF DELAYED FIRING ANGLE SUBMITTED BY EDGEFX TEAM

2 ABSTRACT The main scope of project is to control the induction motor speed by using IR remote The microcontroller does the above job it receives the signals from the sensors, and this signals operated under the control of software, which is stored in ROM

3 PROPOSED SYSTEM micro controller which reads the coded data from the remote for each button pressed to activate the corresponding output pin to change the time delay for the thyristor firing in 8 steps that drives the induction motor.

7 EMBEDDED SYSTEMS Definition for :- EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
A combination of hardware and software which together form a component of a larger machine. An example of an embedded system is a microprocessor that controls an automobile engine. An embedded system is designed to run on its own without human intervention, and may be required to respond to events in real time.

12 LM 358 ( COMPARATOR ) Internally frequency compensated for unity gain.
Large dc voltage gain: 100 Db. Wide bandwidth (unity gain): 1 MHz (temperature compensated) Wide power supply range: Single supply: 3V to 32V or dual supplies: ±1.5V to ±16V Very low supply current drain (500 µA)-essentially independent of supply voltage. Low input offset voltage: 2 mV Input common-mode voltage range includes ground. Differential input voltage range equal to the power supply voltage.

14 MOC3021 ( OPTO COUPLER ) Opto-couplers are made up of a LED and a light sensitive device, all wrapped up in one package no electrical connection between the two devices The light sensitive device may be a photodiode, phototransistor, or more esoteric devices such as thyristors, triacs etc.

16 TSOP 1738 RECEIVER PIN DIAGRAM
It’s a standard IR remote control receiver supporting all major transmission codes Pin1 – Connected to Ground Pin2 – Connected to Vcc Pin3 – Output Pin In Between 1st Pin and 2nd Pin we have to connect one Capacitor TSOP 1738 Receives 14—bit of data

17 TSOP 1738 FEATURES Photo detector and preamplifier in one package
Internal filter for PCM frequency TTL and CMOS compatibility Output active low Low power consumption High immunity against ambient light Continuous data transmission possible (up to 2400 bps) Suitable burst length .10 cycles/burst

18 DC- MOTOR A DC motor is an electric motor that runs on direct current (DC) electricity. In any electric motor, operation is based on simple electromagnetism. A simple 2-pole DC electric motor (here red represents a magnet or winding with a "North" polarization, while green represents a magnet or winding with a "South" polarization). Every DC motor has six basic parts -- axle, rotor (a.k.a., armature), stator, commutator , field magnet(s), and brushes.
