1 Year Sixes’ Virtual Tour of their school
This school, which was built in 1981, is run by Mrs McGlone, the Headteacher. The school has seven vibrant classrooms, seven legendary teachers and 176 pupils that are raring to go. If you choose to visit, the first friendly face that you will see belongs to the school secretary, Mrs Haylock. She works hard with our wonderful Headteacher to make sure that the school runs smoothly and the pupils all enjoy attending. Watlington school is located on a quiet leafy site, on the right hand side of Rectory Lane. Have we caught your attention? If so, you can take a look at our amazing virtual tour, where you will find more information about this wonderful school.

3 Key Stage Two Classrooms
Key Stage Two contains four vibrant classrooms and four active teachers, also known as: Mrs Asif, Miss Loft, Miss Jacklin and Mr Paull. Each of these members of staff is dedicated to helping the children, in their care, throughout their time at Watlington Community Primary School. All four classes in Key Stage Two are named after trees, for example Year Six is called Oak Class and Year Three is called Poplar Class.

4 The School Hall The hall, where children come together to celebrate achievements, is a very busy part of the school. The children use the hall as a space to participate in active P.E. lessons. The games played in the hall include: dance, hockey, basketball and gymnastics as well as many others. The children also come together to have their lunch in the hall, when some children enjoy a delicious hot meal cooked by the caring chef, Mrs Carter.

5 Key Stage One Classrooms
Key Stage One, which is made up of three bustling classrooms with three patient teachers, is a hardworking and well cared for part of Watlington Community Primary School. The three amazing teachers are: Mrs Bush, Miss Bunko and Mrs Rugg. These teachers help the children they teach, so that they are able to learn as much as they can, to prepare them for life in Key Stage Two. Key Stage One has an indoor play area which is used on wet days, so the children can still burn off energy in a safe, dry area.

6 The Library The library, which used to be a courtyard, is where the children go to enjoy regular assemblies. The school invested in new story and non-fiction books so that the children, at this exciting school, will develop a love of reading. The library is like the heart of the school, it is where: Family cafes, singing practice and even the Christmas Fayre take place.

7 The Key Stage Two Playground
Key Stage Two, which is made up of four classrooms, has a very spacious playground with a hedge separating it from the field. The huge field is where children enjoy playing football in the Autumn or running around happily in the Spring and Summer. Watlington Community Primary School also has a vegetable patch, which is where lots of delicious fruits and vegetables are grown. These have been used when making apple juice and coleslaw.

8 The Key Stage One Playground
Key Stage One has outstanding play equipment that is neatly arranged against the brick wall located at the back of their playground. The Reception pupils have a sheltered deck, where they hang their coats and sometimes play. Year Five pupils act as buddies to the Reception children and sometimes work with the younger children, showing them how to behave and play together nicely. The younger children look up to their buddies and respect them, hoping that one day they will be buddies themselves.

9 The Entrance The first part of the school you will see is the front office. Here the first cheery face you will meet belongs to the school’s friendly secretary Mrs Haylock. Mrs Haylock takes care of the school, organising letters and sorting out the dinner money so that no child will ever go hungry. Mrs McGlone the Headteacher works in this area too. She is always busy working, thinking of new ways to make Watlington C.P School an even better place to learn. In key
