5th Grade Mayan Headdresses
(imagination) Symbolize at least 3 animals and label them on your sketch. (Can have Mayan Symbols) label the animals Sketch at least 2 views to design your hat all the way around. Make it interesting from the sides and back show color harmony by limiting your colors to 4 or less.

Part 2: Mayan Indian Headdresses
Media: cardboard, construction paper, glue, scissors. If you use tape, none should show. Process: Experiment with paper construction techniques to make animal symbol forms. Work in 3-D, look at the headdress from all sides. Keep your color limit. 06-07

craftsmanship: show skill when cutting, folding, bending, and gluing. No tape shows. Creativity: in designing and paper experiments Use only paper to show your design It should be sturdy and stay together.
