3 Situation in Poland March ’68
There was political crisis with students demonstrations . They were fighting against censorship put on Mickiewiczs story „Dziady” played in National Theathre in Warsaw. Some of students escaped abroad and some were expeled from university.

4 December 1970 On December began workers’ protests in Gdynia, Gdansk, Szczecin and Elblag. The main reason of these happenings was incerasement of prices of meat and other food supplies.

5 Music In poland The greatest Polish musicians of 1966-69 were:

7 Music Change At this time The Beatles’ music changed a lot. It became more mature and is sounds more abitious. Lyrics has also came out to be more significant. They started to use some tricks of Indian music.

9 Controversions In March 1966 John Lennon in one of interviews claimed that The Beatles are more popular than Jesus ! It caused huge wave of protests against the band, especially in south USA. A lot of their records were burned because of it.

11 End of concerts On 9th August 1966 The Bealtes played their last concert. They decided to give up with playing live because of the noise made by fans, who were louder than band at times. Beatles decided to focus on working in studio and recorded Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, released 1st June This album is considered to be the most important LP in their career and precursor of progresive rock.
