Hi! My Name is Viky Chávez! I live in Anoka with my husband David and our two kids, Nancy (6) and Isaac (4). We love spending time together at our kids’ soccer and swimming classes. I will be your child’s 1st grade teacher for the school year! This will be my 4th year teaching at Emerson Spanish Immersion School. I am very fortunate to have your child in my classroom and know we will have a wonderful year.

I was born in Oxnard, California where I attended K-12 public schools. Since both my parents are from Michoacan, Mexico, I grew up celebrating Mexican traditions and customs.

In May 2008, I graduated from California State, Channel Islands with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies. I completed my graduate degree at Hamline University and am currently studying for my master’s.
