6 General Objective To impart a greater sense of awareness among employees of the security threat to the Port Facility

7 Specific Objectives To raise the awareness among employees of the security threat from the seaward approaches to the Port Facility To practice security staff in the procedures for handling persons deemed to be engaged in undesirable or suspicious activity on board vessels approaching the Port Facility Meet or better the specified benchmark response times for this drill.

8 Required Attainments Security staff will be able to:
Detect vessels approaching the Port Facility from seaward Recognise undesirable or suspicious activity by persons on board vessels approaching the Port Facility Interdict undesirable activity that may be detrimental to the Port Facility

They intend to conduct seaward surveillance of potential targets All security personnel are to be especially vigilant over this period

15 Safety Safety Officer: Physical safety of personnel is paramount
There is to be no physical contact between participants and controllers acting as intruders, etc. Security staff are not to use abusive language when talking to controllers acting as “bogeyman” Do not neglect the safety of equipment
