1 Westminster System to elect members of Parliament where all votes are equal Result 2015 UK Election. Conservative Party 239 seats Democratic Unionist Party 4 seats. Greens Party 24 seats Independent Party 0 seat Labour Party 198 seats Liberal Democrats 51 seats Plaid Cymru Party 4 seats Scottish National Party .31 seats... Sinn Fein Party 4 seats Social Dem & Labour Party 2 seats UK Independence Party 82 seat Ulster Unionist Party 2 seats This system ensures all votes are equal , based on voting for a Party of your choice. And all seats in Westminster having one value, the total votes counted divided by the number of seats 650 gives a seat value of 47,721 votes, so a seat is won when that total is found UKIP had votes divide by = 82 seats , many party's did not win a seat even tho they had the number of votes.
