3 Your submission Gender concept is not something new in Swaziland history, a boy and a girl child were doing domestic work equally and also sex and gender was exercised to both, were gathered at ''Esangweni'' and ''Egumeni to be taught about sex and reproductive health issues. It was taken care of in that both undergo sex changes in their bodies as they grow. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

HOW DOES YOUR SUBMISSION CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS ACHIEVING THE 28 TARGETS OF THE SADC GENDER PROTOCOL? PROTOCOL TARGET COUNCIL ACTIONS Article 27 addressing HIV/AIDS in the Sexual and Reproductive Health context. Article 29 Media , Information and Communication Article 26 for adoption and Implementation of Policies and Programmes that address the well being of women and Sexuality and Mortality . This activity is promoting gender equality in and through media as well as build capacity of children (the girl and boy child) to engage critically processes that advance equality and development, including protocol initiatives which encompasses commitments made in all regional, global and continental instruments for achieving gender equality thus ensuring accountability by all SADAC members. This is a forum of sharing best practices, supported by targets. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

6 Objectives Beneficiaries are children, boys and girls who are to be changed of their behavior and attitudes so to attain self-control. More especially when they reach the adolescence stage, so girls are able to avoid early pregnancy and boys avoid engaging in sex early to prevent them ruining their lives. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

7 Targets  Children between the ages 5 – 18 years are targeted and as well as their parents as they are the ones who give guide to what the children hear and learn. Photo GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

8 Process I have gathered data from Khulisa umntfwana, UNICEF, traditional gatherings and the general public at large. Moreover, I have consulted a Health Promotions Officer under the Ministry of Health. GENDER EQUALITY BY 2015, YES WE MUST!

9 Feedback  I have handed in a CD of an interview between myself and Mr. Sipho Dlamini from Khulisa umntfwana. Programme script is also attached.
