358 people attended this year’s Fall for Burroughs auction making it a tremendous success!
Anticipated net revenue is expected to be $85,000+--RECORD BREAKING!
The Fund-A-Need Goal was exceeded and raised $13,000 for new books to be added to classroom libraries to support the new district-wide literacy and reading curriculum.
Monies raised by the sale of the Classroom Artwork & Prints from the 2016 Classroom Artwork will pay for new Glass Display Cases to showcase Student Art.
HELP REACH OUR GOAL: keep purchasing tickets to Great Gatherings as those sales continue to raise money for the auction throughout the year. Great Gatherings will continue to be advertised in the Bulletin, on Burroughs Facebook Pages and classroom handouts and s.

All teachers were able to spend $50.00 for their classroom needs.
This years sales total was just under $18,000, which earned Burroughs almost $9,000 in Scholastic rewards dollars.
This is a change from previous years where Burroughs received cash.
There is more value in rewards dollars and allows teachers to shop for their classrooms.

28. BYLAW UPDATE
Proposed Bylaw Change: Remove section (i) from Treasurer Duties due to new relationship with external CPA firm that reconciles financials monthly
Section 4: The Treasurer Shall: i) Submit the books annually for an audit by an external auditor or auditing committee selected by the executive board at least two weeks before the meeting at which new officers assume duties.
Next step: Vote on bylaw change during Jan meeting
