What We’re Learning
Reading
We will read a narrative nonfiction text called Bat Loves the Night. Our story skills will be: sequencing, domain-specific vocabulary, suffixes, and synonyms. Our summative assessment will be next week.
Language Arts
We will spend this week working on our writing skills to complete some fun Thanksgiving activities.
Math
We will continue multiplying. This week we multiply using the associative property, multiply by 8/9, and use a multiplication table. PRACTICE MULTIPLICATION FACTS EVERY NIGHT!!
Science & Social
Studies
Science – we will start a new unit called “Inheritance & Variation of Traits”.
Social Studies – we will learn about life in the Colonies.
