8 Who are they? Bisley WIZIO-CGI “We like to think of ourselves as a British success story. From the humble beginnings of car body repairs in 193. “Europe’s leading manufacturer of steel storage. In fact, 48% of all UK steel storage originates from Bisley”. “Helping people across the world be comfortable and effective, wherever they are working”. Bisley is well known (international) furniture design company that focuses on basic contemporary minimalist design that MultiDrawer

9 Case study: “Storage of colours” BBC Salford Quays
Average priceing of Bisley products: £250-£375 “Bisley’s products support a radical new storage strategy for staff moving to the new facility at Salford Quays, with a dramatic reduction in the volume of storage compared to previous premises. This was the result of an audit process which resulted in cutting storage from eight linear metres per person to 0.5 linear metres”. This shows that Bisley likes “space” or “working space” for clients that allow them organise themselves without using a lot of space for storage.

11 Conclusion….. (Pros & Cons)
Final conclusion and Why: After researching into both proposals and briefs I have decided to move forward with choosing Orangebox’s brief. The main reasons why are: It’s challenging….but interesting I like the idea of using contemporary and intelligent design as a guideline…as everything new and unique is good. Ergonomics of design to lesson health risks are important to be influenced anywhere especially at work. Collaborative ideas are important as difference of opinions and perspectives could lead to potential development and therefore greater efficiency. Furniture design has always been a Orangebox: Bisley: Ornagebox has a certain design aesthetic that captures the idea of contemporary and intelligent design. Focuses more about health and wellbeing of clients/users of furniture as well as the product life cycle I feel as the set brief from Orangebox is slightly contradicting, however I still feel and understand what the aims are for producing an adjustable table for one person that also involves collaborative work. Orangebox are also looking towards future products and materials to increase concertation, health and collaborative thinking within a workspace. For example “Flyknit” material…light, comfortable, durable and strong properties. As Bisley started as a car repair/spare parts company I can see the type of house style that the company incorporates into each of their designs. Bisley base their designs using any metal alloys that contribute to their successful minimalist concept ideas and storage systems designs. Using inspiration from minimalist ideas and the housestyle of Bisley’s previous designs I could create many ideas using the style of bisley. The brief seems straight forward compared to the set OrangeBox brief.
