14 Important Tips for Listing Virginia.org
Update Existing Listings Venue Website/Facebook Links Booking URL Fees/pricing Description Images Confirm and Submit Advanced Options Update existing listings – many listings that are annual events are used in our feature articles. Creating a new one or changing the name of an existing one, will result in a “page not found” error. Name your listing the name of the event but leave out 2013 or 1st annual. Having a name that can be used year after year is key. Name your deals and packages similarly but unique enough so it is not the same as another listing. Be sure to add next year’s dates to the listing as well.

15 Be sure to include the Event Venue in the Venue Field
Be sure to include the Event Venue in the Venue Field. (For Deals and Packages this is the hotel, restaurant or attraction name.) Do not put the name of the event (or package or deal) in the venue field. Do Not put the venue in the address fields. Google maps rely on the address fields. If it doesn’t see a valid street address in the address line it will skip it and your location may not map properly.
