14 Color Significance Blue: represents the heavens which belong to the gods like Amon - the god of the wind. Green: represents vegetation and new life. Was used for the god Osiris, the god of resurrection and fertility. This was a very common color to use.  Red: Expressed life and victory, but also furry and fire. During spiritual ceremonies many Egyptians painted their bodies red to show their dedication to the goal. White: Used for pureness, a higher power and all that are sacred. In rituals they used white sandals to show their commitment to the sacred act.  Black: This was the color of the underworld. Their god Anubis was black, who was the king of death.

Qebehsenuef, the falcon-headed god representing the west, whose jar contained the intestines and was protected by the goddess Selket. Hapi, the baboon-headed god representing the north, whose jar contained the lungs and was protected by the goddess Nephthys. Imseti, the human-headed god representing the south, whose jar contained the liver and was protected by the goddess Isis.
