2 Title I Funding Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
Authorized by Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Provides financial assistance to LEAs and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards Title I, Part A Eligibility; Schools with population 35% Free/Reduced are eligible for Title I support Schools with population 75% Free/Reduced must receive Title I support Federal waiver allows for schools with population 25% Free/Reduced to receive Title I support

3 Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Improving quality of and access to healthy food for students
Authorized by the Section 104a of the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 Allows for eligible schools to provide free breakfast and free lunch to all students attending, regardless of economic means (i.e. Free/Reduced lunch status) CEP Eligibility; District, school, or cluster of schools must have at least 40% Direct Certified Student population (as determined by participation in Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program)

CEP has contributed to the consistent growth in CNP through provision of free breakfast (in the classroom) Growth
