We accomplish this by fostering effective and sustainable projects around the world. We are looking to the future and incorporating projects within the 6 areas of focus bringing us closer to our mission while supporting the amazing work of Rotarians. Through OUR Foundation, we reach out to both our local and international communities enriching the lives of millions.

5. Polio Eradication Polio Facts:
-Since the PolioPlus program began in 1985, more than two billion children have received oral polio vaccine.
-210 countries territories and areas around the world are now polio-free thanks to Rotarians who have mobilized by the hundreds of thousands to ensure the success of national immunization days as well as strong surveillance programs around the world.
-As of 30 June 2011, $1.1 billion has been funded towards eradicating Polio.
Total PolioPlus Contributions (includes Gates Foundation): $78.9 million (Cumulative $831.5 million)
- 123 nations have benefited from PolioPlus grants.
-In 2011, 400 million children received the polio vaccine.
-Four countries rest endemic for wild polio virus in 2011: Afghanistan, India, Nigeria and Pakistan
