Eternal Truth: A person “after God’s own heart” is prepared to face life’s biggest challenges because he has purposed to glorify God with his life and trusts God enough to obey Him.

1 Sam 17:26 Then David spoke… “For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1 Sam 17:36 “Your servant has killed both the lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”

Is. 43:7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.

David was zealous for God’s heart. Whose heart do I follow? How important is God’s glory to me? What motivates my actions? Do I make my decisions based upon God’s glory?
