11 Election process USA consists of 50 states.
Every citizen with the right to vote can vote for the candidate they want to have as president. Their vote is counted within their state. The candidate with the most votes in the state becomes the candidate that state votes for.

12 Election Process Depending on how many citizens the state has, the state gets a number of electors in the president election. A state with many citizens gets more electors. When a candidate wins the election in a state, they get that many votes in the big election. Therefore, it’s important for the candidates to win the state elections in the states with the most citizens.

13 Winning the election There is a total of 538 electors in the election.
A candidate needs to have the majority of those electors (270) to win the election. That’s why it’s important to win the election in the states that has most electors in the big election.
