6. Events and Attractions!
The campus in Denton offers the only public golf course in the city.
The brand new rec center offers a rock wall, indoor and outdoor pools, handball courts, tennis courts and it is open to the public.
The new rec center is also the first LEED building at a public university.
Little Chapel-in-the-Woods: Built in 1939, it has been named an architectural achievement in Texas. The windows depict images of women in activities that are important to the university; such at nursing, teaching, literature, dance and music.
The chapel has been host to thousands of weddings since and are all recorded in the Bridal Book.
There is a large art collection at the school with pieces donated from alumni, students, faculty and staff. It can be viewed online or you can tour the pieces on the campus.
