4. Section 2. Record of GORT-5 Scores
Transfer each story’s Rate, Accuracy, Fluency, and Comprehension scores from the inside of the booklet to Section 2.
Check all Fluency scores to be sure Rate and Accuracy have been summed correctly.
For stories not read due to basal
5 pt. credit for each Rate, Accuracy, and Comprehension score
10 pt. Credit for each Fluency score

6. Section 3. Performance Summary
Compute the raw total Rate, Accuracy, Fluency, and Comprehension Scores in Section 2.
Transcribe to the corresponding blanks in the Raw Total column of Section 3.
Convert raw total scores to the following using Appendix A

Convert raw total scores to the following using Appendix B
Percentile ranks
Scaled scores
Record descriptive terms for the scaled scores using Section 4 of the Examinee Record Booklet.

8. Section 3. Performance Summary
Sum the Fluency and Comprehension Scores (in ovals).
Record the total in the rectangle labeled Sum of Scaled Scores.

Descriptive terms that correspond to scaled scores and the Oral Reading Index (ORI) are found in Section 4.
