Project ECHO (example) – Dr. Arora: Higher education should not only train and graduate physicians, teachers and other professionals but also serve them throughout their career as they work to solve community challenges Uniting Donor and University Passions and Priorities to Achieve Excellence

Outreach type grants – popular focus areas: (Thank you Everett) Diversity (Almost every company that recruits OSU) K-12 STEM (Devon, ONE Gas, Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance/CEAT/TCC) Veterans (Almost every company that recruits OSU) Specific/Other Examples: Flint Family Foundation – Birth Control Education and Access in Underserved Populations Zarrow Foundations – Addiction, Mental Health, Hunger/Nutrition GKFF – Early Childhood Education, Birth Through Eight, Nutrition, Job Creation, Poverty Prevention NORDAM/Schusterman – STEM Outreach type grants more inclined to give to small grassroots nonprofits (something like Red Dirt Military Moms) rather than a program of a large university.  Therefore, partnerships with local nonprofits may be one way to entice funders to engage with OSU programs.
