Reading: Our reading story this week is Fire Fighter!. We will be learning the difference between fact and opinion.
Spelling:We are learning to spell words with suffixes –ly, -ful, -er, -or.
Grammar: We are learning about singular and plural pronouns.
Math: Most students are currently working on money and/or time. Some have moved past those units and are working on fractions, geometry or measurement.
Spelling Bee:
We will have a class spelling bee on Friday, March 3. A list of second grade words was sent home with your child to study. The winner will represent our class in the school spelling bee.

Valentine’s Day: Students are welcome to bring a treat to share with the class. If your child wishes to bring Valentines, please send enough for everyone. Students do not need to make a box.

Field Trip:
We had a great time on our field trip and learned a lot about the Ky. Derby. Thank you to all the parents who helped on our trip! 
