1 Promoting Your National College Fair to Exhibitors and Attendees

Consider thinking about the fair as your business or organization. Entrepreneurial Spirit! Who is on your team? (aka: influencers or sales people) What is gained or earned? Have a vision/ mission/ impact statement Philadelphia's Fair Mission: To host the best event possible by serving the institutions and attendees to encourage both to return to Philadelphia in the future.  Understanding Who You Are as a Chairperson Candace  Who Do You Serve? 10 min.

Why do we market? We market these fairs to provide an opportunity for students to learn about post-graduate options. We service the community in hopes of bringing as many attendees/exhibitors as possible. Who do we promote to? Attendees- Parents, Students, Counselors and Non-traditional Exhibitors- College Representatives

7 The roles and responsibilities are shared among NACAC and the Local Arrangement Committee
NACAC- introduces the fair and provide a general overview of the fair LAC- follow-up with the introduction and adds a personal approach

8 Promoting to Attendees
NACAC: s, save the dates, printed mailings, NACAC and facility website, CVBs, list-servs, phone marketing, onsite locator, and on-site newspaper LAC: Reach out to city government to have a “Go to College Week.” Revise the counselors list and send mass s. Use local affiliate’s resources. Mass ing to all K-12 members of the affiliate to promote the event. Using college/high school marketing teams Effective use of press releases and social media resources 10 min. Roles & Responsibilities Promoting to Attendees Promoting to Exhibitors (College Representatives) Anika, Ric In-house: We (NACAC) send s about the fair, save the dates, add to the facility and NACAC’s website, notify our convention visitor bureaus, send notice through our list servs, TRC handles our phone marketing, and we provide either a locator onsite or some sites have newspapers As a LAC, we go further and reach to the city government to promote the fair. We encourage them to create a “Go to College Week. Offer to revise the counselor list and send mass s. Lastly, use your local affiliate resources.
