Practice creating clean cutouts and implementing them into a design

3. Web banner instructions
You will be creating a web banner for a music festival
The genre of music and the artists participating are your choice
Get creative with the name of your festival: “Karber Klashes Festival”, “Dubstep Mania”, etc.

4. Web banner instructions
The web banner must be created in Photoshop
File>New
Width: 728 pixels wide; height: 90 pixels
Resolution: 72 pixels/inch
Color Mode: RGB Color, 8 bit
Title it [last name] music festival web banner [class period]
Make sure you save it as a Photoshop (PSD) file when you are working on it!

5. Web banner instructions
A minimum of 10 acts must be included in your web banner
You must include the name, location, and date(s) of the festival on your banner
You may pull artist images (photos or logos) from the web or from any other electronic source that you have access to
Organization
Create a folder entitled “Music Festival Web Banner” inside your “Photo Journalism” folder on your H drive or flash drive
Save each photo you put into this folder as a JPG before editing it in Photoshop. Title each photo that you download as [name of artist] original
Take each image into Photoshop to cut out the artist photo or logo
All artist images included in your banner MUST have transparent backgrounds

6. Web banner instructions
Save your final web banner as a JPG on your H drive as [your last name] Music Festival Web Banner [class period]and turn it in to Mr. Nigrelli via Google Drive 
Assignment is due by the end of class on Friday, September 28th - MAJOR GRADE!
