1. Sedaris is very sarcastic, but almost everyone can find humor in his writing. What did you find the most humorous about his description of his French class?
2. If you have ever taken a language class, how was/is it similar to Sedaris’ experience and how was/is it different?
3. Where does the author’s joy come from at the end of the chapter? Be sure to cite textual evidence in your response.
