CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.6 Acquire and use accurately grade-appropriate general academic and domain-specific words and phrases, including those that signal precise actions, emotions, or states of being (e.g., quizzed, whined, stammered) and that are basic to a particular topic (e.g., wildlife, conservation, and endangered when discussing animal preservation).

11 Cover up the description and have the students interpret the picture before seeing the words that describe it.

12 Have students give you directions on how to get the lake from the bank etc. then talk about how this graphic organizer helps us each day

The you can either go over the glossary and highlight the words in the story and then choose the vocabulary graphic organizers you want them to do in breakout rooms.
