3 Tips on engaging your people
When you can, make it personal. That means segmenting your lists. Those that get personalized asks. (VIPs) Those that care about similar things. (Educators, Members, Science lovers, etc) Those that act in similar ways. (Lapsed donors, Volunteers) Make it very easy to give. Give them ideas for being involved. Pitch ideas and show examples. Let them tailor their involvement. Thank them, thank them, thank them.

4 Tips on creating opportunities to give
Keep talking about your campaign in new ways. Be direct and stay focused on action. Make sure there is always an opportunity to act. Link to donate from every page on your website. Include donation links on social media posts. Make it easy to share the campaign. Link early and link often in campaign s.

5 Tips on telling the story
Create urgency to take action now. Consider setting a goal and update people about that goal. Matching funds make this case. End of year is the biggest deadline. As much as you can, make it about them, not you. Talk about the impact. Flattery will get you everywhere. Build trust. Professional looking communication. Other high profile people.
