Percussion family

PERCUSSION INSTRUMETS
This project is about the musical instruments that belong to the percussion family and especially triangle and cymbals. Percussion instruments sound when you hit, shake or scrape them. Many percussion instruments create sweet sounds, as well as loud noises. Every country makes percussion instruments. All modern orchestras have a percussion section, and you can also hear these instruments in folk, dance, jazz, pop and rock music bands.

Cymbals… *

Cymbals Cymbals are musical instruments. You bang or hit these percussion instruments together to make sound. Imagine a pair of cymbals so small you can play them with your thumb and one finger. These are the smallest cymbals in the word, and they are worn by dancers. The largest Cymbals, can measure 65 centimetres. These cymbals are played in a western orchestra and they have leather hand grips to help the percussionist hold them firmly while playing. The cymbals can be deafening. For a crisp, sharp sound, tap a cymbal with a drumstick. To stop the sound, hold the edge of the cymbal to stop it vibrating. Different sorts of c cymbals, called chengcheng and rinchik, are played in a gamelan orchestra.

TRIANGLE

TRIANGLE The triangle is also a musical instrument. It is made of steel and it is bent in the shape of a triangle. It has got a gap between the two ends and thanks to it the triangle vibrates. It hangs from a strap so it can vibrate freely
