2 Founding a business When you want to found a business (in Leer) you have to do many things!

3 Help There are many persons who can give you tips. For example: accountants, business consultants, business developers, etc. You can get money from several supporting organisations.

4 Rules You have to register your business at the adminstrative district . There are many rules which you have to follow, e.g. you have to record all your financial movements. You aren't allowed to open your business everywhere. You only need yourself to start a business. When you're 7 (or older), you can found a business.

5 In Leer there are many taxes which you have to pay!
Tax revenue In Leer there are many taxes which you have to pay! Some examples are: - income tax, - trade tax, - sales tax .

6 Application in Leer In one week two or three times people apply to found a business. In Leer the businesses aren't very innovative, so the EU doesn't give development funds to them. Instead the administrative district supports them.

7 Types of businesses Micro-enterprises: at least 10 employees with more than 2,000,000 € annual turnover. Small businesses: more than 50 employees with more than 5,000,000 € annual turnover. medium-scale operation: at least 250 employees with at least 50,000,000 € annual turnover. Large enterprise: more than the above.

8 New staff You have to pay their salary!
When you want to take on new staff, they have to have appropriate training! You have to pay their salary!

9 Number of businesses In the year 2012 in Leer there were businesses compared to inhabitants. In the year 2013 there were business advertisements.

10 Costs of a business house: rent, heating, furniture
production costs: water, energy, raw materials others: taxes, insurance, employees
