“Junk” book today Today, Junk is still widely read by teenagers and also adults.This book about drugs and drug culture is seen as being enpowering thing, encouraging people to think for themselves, rather than encouraging them to take drugs, as its critics still sometimes try to make out.

About the book The book is about the experiences of a group of teenagers who fall into heroin addiction. The book falls into two halves - the first part, where the main characters, Tar and Gemma, leave home and move to Bristol, and the second part, where Tar and Gemma become addicted to heroin. Tar loves Gemma. Gemma is just in love with being in love. Tar thinks that Gemma is the only person who has ever loved him.

We read "junk" this summer
We read "junk" this summer. We have been read it again and again and we can tell, that this book changed our lifes.We want to say that Junk is really shocking, exciting, but really a wonderful book. Of course, it is difficult to read, but worth it. It has always been our most favourite book and we recomend it for everybody.
