2 June EPAct 2005 Section 701 Waiver Requests (due in FAST). An annual waiver must be obtained for each AFV that is not able to obtain or use alternative fuel. (due mid-July 2012 only) OMB Sustainability Scorecard Mid-Year Rpt. (due to OMB). Report progress on annual improvement plans to date.

3 June Federal Fueling Centers Report (Sometimes called the EISA 246 Report) due to DOE through FAST. All fueling centers must be reported. Those dispensing over 100K gallons of petro. required to install renewable fuel pumps. (note: due mid-July for 2012 only) Strategic Sustainability Performance Plan due to White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ). VAM Fleet Management Plan, Optimum Fleet Attainment Plan, & GSA Recommendations to Agency is now included.

4 June (GSA Leased Fleet) List of Vehicles Eligible for Replacement Sent to Agency Fleet Mgrs. Note: The GSA Leased Fleet ordering process is changing/improving and moving to an on-line system where the fleet managers have “visibility” of orders being placed. 5 June - July FedFleet Annual Conference
The FedFleet Annual Conference is the best place to obtain current information and instruction specifically tailored to the Federal Vehicle Manager. Information is available at

6 July (GSA Leased Fleet) Agency-Level Customer Meetings Begin and carry through August & September. (AFV surcharge and other agency goals are determined)

7 August OMB A-11 Report Closes (due in FAST).
Report budget projections for current and 2 out years, budget summary form, and a narrative to explain how fleet vehicles are used to support the mission of the agency/bureau, how you justify the numbers and types of vehicles needed. Discuss any significant changes and how you have made reviews of pooling vehicles, restricting access, limiting vehicle and engine size and optional equipment, increasing use of mass transit, teleconferencing, etc. a regular part of fleet management oversight.

8 September (GSA Leased Fleet) Agencies provide Customer Guidance Letter to GSA. Guidance is forwarded to Regions (FSRs) FAST On-Line Training VAM On-Line Training GSA Vehicle Contracts are Awarded ...and open for ordering 365 days allowing for purchasing to occur throughout the fiscal year GSA Automotive & Fleet Product Guides for AFV/HEV’s are Published

9 October FAST Annual Reporting Opens VAM Annual Reporting Opens
(GSA Leased Fleet) Data for FAST Report is Available in Fleet DriveThru “Fast Data Center” (Approx. by the 15th)

10 November Annual OSHA Safety and Health Report (due to agency Safety Officer) Update Executive Vehicles Posting. Executive Fleet Vehicle listings on agencies’ websites should be updated frequently as changes are made to executive fleets, but must be updated no less than annually

11 December FAST Annual Reporting Closes
(GSA Leased Fleet) GSA Places Vehicle Replacement Orders With OEMs (extends into January) (GSA Leased Fleet) Vehicle Replacement Order Summary Report Sent to Agencies

12 January Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Sustainability Scorecard (used to be “Transportation” scorecard) is Due. Results From This Year Plus Plans For Next Year. The former Transportation score card. Fleet is now just one line on the Sustainability scorecard. Also, requires you to keep moving forward with green efforts and you are scored on this part too.

13 February Annual Fleet Compliance Report (Sometimes called the EPAct Report) Data is extracted from FAST. Due to Congress, copy to DOE, and must be Published on Agency Website. Data comes out of FAST report and agency writes a narrative to post on the website. Copy goes to DOE and Congress. Link will be put on DOE website.

14 March VAM Reporting Closes: Update Fleet Management Plan and Optimum Fleet Attainment Plan (Include Results in agency Strategic Sustainability Performance Plan – due in June) (GSA Leased Fleet) Majority of Vehicle Orders Arrive Late March Through June. More than 50% of vehicle orders start arriving.

15 April GSA Recommendations to Agency VAM Reporting is Provided to each Agency (Include with agency Strategic Sustainability Performance Plan – due in June) (GSA Leased Fleet) Majority of Vehicle Orders Arrive Late March Through June. GSA Automotive Conducts its Annual Open House for Customers More than 50% of vehicle orders start arriving.

16 May No Reports Due!!! …take the month off.
