2. Where it all began …
My process of inquiry I believe began in my own education, and the idea that things needed to be different. Personalized learning is the future in best facilitating student learning, but also students and teachers need to be, more insightful in their self, and do this through reflective learning. In my proposal I wanted to understand the importance of personalized learning and how I can apply it into my own practice. With a personalized learning approach I felt the need to personalize student assessment with reflective assessment.

4. Personalized Learning
Students should be learning in a pace that suits them. They should learn information that they can understand and build, rather than playing catch up. If learning is adjusted to the level student is at they are able to grow. The learning should be challenging but not out of their grasp.

5. Social Emotional Learning Environment
Classroom needs to be a place where students feel safe! Students should be able to feel warmth, trust and respect for and from their teacher. If students are able to feel safe and secure in their classroom they are able to learn, but also project positive emotions onto others.

6. Reflective Assessment
• This is something that is critical to both students and teaches. If students are able to be critical on how they are learning, they are able to learn how they can improve themselves in different assignments, but also apply these learnings into different situations. They are able to move their weaknesses into strengths. As a teacher being able to reflect on my practice teaches me how to better myself in the future, I am able to see what I am doing wrong and better it for the future.

7. Tech Learning
Learning needs to match the world we live in. To do this students need to be taught about technology and how it is incorporated in our everyday lives. If children are our futures they need to be taught the tools of the present and the future which is technology!

8. Inquiry Based Learning
• Wonder, wonder, wonder! As a teacher I want to encourage my students to wonder about the world. As a teacher I want to make my classroom environment one in which students can express their interests, and learn from them.

9. How do I get there?
During my future practice I hope to apply different strategies to achieve my teaching philosophy. I want to enact programs such as:
Daily 5 or Daily 3
Mind up teaching approaches
Self- Assessment, or Student Assessment and Teacher Assessment together
Technology
Wonder walls/ Genius Hour
