Atahualpa: The powerful Incan Emperor/King Incan Empire: The Empire that was centered around Peru possessed gold, silver and other precious resources. Expedition: A Voyage or journey for a specific purpose Isthmus: a narrow strip of land with a sea on either side, forming a link between two larger areas of land. Isthmus of Panama: the narrow strip of land that lies between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, linking North and South America. It contains the country of Panama and the Panama Canal. Epidemic: A disease that spreads quickly over a large area. Culture: The set of beliefs ,values, and practices that a group of people have in common.

The Empire also had gold and riches beyond the imagination. Tenochitlan: The capital of the Aztec Empire. Montezuma II: The Aztec King
