3 Levels of Dermatomes C5 – clavicles
T10 – level of umbilicus T12 – inguinal or groin region L1, 2, 3, & 4 – anterior & medial surfaces of inferior leg L4, 5, & S1 – foot L4 – medial side of great toe S1, 2, & L5 – Posterior and lateral surfaces of inferor leg. S1 – lateral margin of foot & little toe S2, 3, & 4 - perineum C5 – clavicles C5, 6, & 7 – lateral parts of superior arm. C8 & T1 – medial sides of superior arm. C6 – thumb C6, 7, & 8 – hand C8 – ring & little finger T4 – level of nipples

4 Myotomes Upper Lower C1: none C2: neck flexion C3: neck lateral flexion and extension C4: shoulder shrug C5: Shoulder abduction C6: Elbow flxn/wrist ext C7: elbow ext/wrist flxn C8: ulnar deviation/thumb ext/finger flxn(thumbs up) T1: finger intrinsics (abd, add, opposition) L1: none L2: hip flexion L3: knee extension L4: ankle dorsiflexion L5: Hallux extension S1: Plantar flexion, eversion, knee flexion, hip extension (gastrocs and hammy’s) S2: Plantar flexion, knee flexion, hip extension
