New air speed facility Hot water flow facility Hydrocarbon flow facility High pressure gas flow facility As you kwon, NIM has a new campus in Changping of Beijing. Some new flow facility is being built or preparing to build. I am very glad to report the progress of these new flow facilities that include air speed facility ……

4 LDA & Wind Tunnel System
Air speed facility Finish Cooperation with CMS This facility had finished at the end of last year. It is a LDA & wind tunnel system. Test range: (0.2~35)m/s. We have cooperation with CMS on this facility. The expert of CMS, like Dr. Yang give us lot of help. They have abundant experience. LDA & Wind Tunnel System Test range: (0.2~35)m/s Test section: 1000mm×800mm×800mm

Expanded uncertainty Urel<0.2%,k=2 → Spinning disc system LDA (1)3D velocity (Green, blue, Purple; λ=514.5nm,488nm,476nm) (2)Particle diameter measurement; (1~100) μm Tracing particle ACETONE C3H6O(ρ= g/ml) LDA was made by Dantec company. It is a 3D measurement system, and it has a water cooling system. ACETONE is used as tracing particle. The U of speed measurement is better than 0.2% after calibrated by spinning disc system.

Location in Beijing Heat Group Company Some Problems A1 Items Content Flow Range (0.03~40)m3/h Pipe Size DN15~DN80 Temperature Range 5℃~90℃ Uncertainty 0.05%, k=2 The whole design had completed at the beginning of this year, but we encountered a problem that building the house of this lab is late than our prediction. That facility will locate in Heat group company. They hope the new building will be finished before May in the next year. Small size facility A1 has temporary been assembled in the Changping campus of NIM. So I am busy for this facility recently. When I return to NIM after APMP meeting, I will do some test and experiment on it.

13 Hydrocarbon flow facility
Building in new campus of NIM Max Flow rate : 120m3/h Max pipe diameter :100mm Viscosity < 21 mm2/s Uncertainty < 0.05% Same government Energy measurement plan. Building in new campus of NIM. 主要指标。This facility include 2 type of standard which are gravimetric method and pipe prover.

Mostly equipment has reached the lab, and assembly and adjustment will be done in next year.

16 High pressure gas flow facility
Turbine meter as master meter The max flow rate is 1600m3/h at 2.5MPa Sonic nozzle as master meter The max flow rate is 400m3/h at 2.5MPa The current 2m3 pVTt facility The max flow rate is 40m3/h at 2.5MPa Primary standard Secondary standard Working standard There are several gas flow facility in our lab. But they are all low pressure gas flow facility ,like bell prover, piston prover and pVTt rig. So a high pressure rig is in the plan. The primary standard is still pVTt facility. We hope to improve the pressure of the rig form 0.4 Mpa now to 2.5. Sonic nozzle can be used as secondary standard, and turbine meter is the working standard. Max flow rate: 1600 Flow increasing

17 High pressure gas flow facility
Close loop system Budget : $ 3 million Location : new site of NIM Wind tunnel facility Room 1007 Room 1012, The new pVTt location Room 1011, The old pVTt location A draft of a close loop system has been designed recently. 3million .We hope we can get budget support from government next year. We expect this facility will be complete in next 2-3 years. Room 1010

Low pressure —— we have 2 TC with NIST and PTB. For the new facility we also hope participate some KC or bilateral comparison and apply more CMCs in the future.
