2 Sola Scriptura Sola scriptura is the Christian theological doctrine which holds that the Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of doctrine and practice. Sola scriptura does not deny that other authorities govern Christian life and devotion, but sees them all as subordinate to and corrected by the written word of God.

5 Ekklesia Ekklesia describes an assembly, a gathering, community, or a congregation. It speaks of a people in a relationship more than in an organization.

8 Corporate Love and Compassion
Colossians 3:12-14 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

It is selfless (1 Cor 13:4-7) Servant hearted (Galatians 5:13-14); Phill 2;3-4) Covers a multitude of sins (James 5:20) This love fosters an atmosphere of acceptance and trust. A willingness to expose our real needs to the other members of the body.

We are a people for God’s own possession Our life is not meant for us. The more we give ourselves to Jesus, the greater our capacity to put other’s interests above our own – Phil 2:4 Our Faith, hope and love become corporate expression within the body of believers that is the church

The more we realize that we are together as allies on this spiritual journey rather than individual agents, the more clearly we can realize that spiritual growth does not happen in a relational vacuum, we need each other to learn and grow.

17 Ask yourself... When you ask yourself why you go to church on Sundays, stop and ask yourself, what can you bring to church on Sunday? Let’s remember that we as Christians are interdependent on one another just as we are wholly Dependent on God.
