Use experimental probability to predict how many free throws you will make tomorrow if you attempt 75 free throws. SOLUTION 1. Find the experimental probability that you make a free throw. P(make a free throw) = 50 32 0.64

2 Example 3 Using Probability to Make a Prediction 2. Multiply the experimental probability by the number of free throws you will attempt tomorrow. 0.64 = 75 48 ANSWER If you continue to make free throws at the same rate, you will make 48 free throws in 75 attempts tomorrow.
