2 Description of Organization
Is the Parking Services for San Jose State Which includes the following: Parking Garages Ride On street parking

3 Description of Research Method
Questionnaire surveys consisting of four focal areas: 1- Cost 2- Preparation and Tardiness 3- Alternative Options 4- Availability of Parking

4 Description of Research Methods conti.
Content analysis was used to discover the findings. Conclusions and Action Plans were then developed for each individual Focal Area.

5 Alternative Options Questions

14 Relevant Theory A theory that I was able to tie to my findings was the Overdependence on experts and hierarchy.

15 Alternatives Options Action Plan #1
Faculty and administrations needs to make a serious attempt at communicating the available alternatives to parking in the garages.

16 Alternatives Options Action Plan #2
In my research I came across a business major that created an application to combat this issue. Uses GPS to find free parking spaces Major Problem It will take major funding to revamp the infrastructure to be compatible with the application.

17 Spaces Available Questions
Do you think there is enough parking spaces available at SJSU? Do you think the school should build another parking garage? Are there any issues with parking on the street, near SJSU?

18 Spaces Available Response #1
Do you think there is enough parking spaces available at SJSU? 84% said no 8% said yes 8% gave another answer such as “sometimes” or , “ I think so”

19 Conclusion to Response #1
Our study coincides with our original thought that students want to see the parking options on campus improved

20 Spaces Available Response #2
76% said there should be another parking garage built 16% said no 8% provided a different response

21 Conclusion to response #2
Our research shows that students would prefer anther parking structure to be built on campus.

22 Spaces Available Response #3
Only 12% said no 56% gave a yes answer without providing a reason 36% gave a yes answer and explained why.

23 Final Thoughts SJSU students do not like to park on the streets near campus Getting people to give more than a yes or no answer to an open-ended questionnaire is difficult Working with a team for a large research project is easier and more fun than working alone Parking on or near campus is just another way for the city and the University to make money rather than serve the best interest of the people
