Napoleon enlists Boxer to provide an ongoing testimonial as he works to draw stone to the windmill. Boxer states, “I will work harder! Napoleon is always right!” as he goes through his daily work. The other animals look up to Boxer as demonstrated in his size and power. He was acclaimed for his killing of the stable boy at the Battle of Cowshed by the other animals. By enlisting such a notable figure of the farm, the other animals were more likely to follow Napoleon’s wishes if Boxer is following them.
