Site previously promoted and known as HAT13 - Council rejected early on in the process - Landscape designation medium to high sensitivity - Heritage issues - particularly sensitive due to registered parks and gardens of Hatfield Priory Parish Council concerned at development within the Village and objected to various sites Current position – proposed allocation to the north of the A12, known as HAT 17H for 50 dwellings and an additional road for Arla Dairy Could widen existing road. 5

Council’s Landscape Assessment by Chris Blandford Associates - Hatfield Peverel designated Farmland Plateau - Landscape sensitivity new development can be accommodated without a significant adverse impact Strong boundary treatment exists – hedges and trees

Listed Buildings and Registered Park and Gardens Council appears to have identified Hatfield Place as Hatfield Priory - Impact on the setting Significant of the heritage asset Assessment by qualified expert in accordance with English Heritage methodology - No harmful impact on heritage assets

8 Open space requirements
Open space/ informal recreation Council’s Open Space Action Plan 2013 - 5.3 ha of new informal recreational space required in Hatfield Peverel - Shortfall of play provision - Rely on Restoration of Barnards/Dannats Pit - Section 52 agreement, not transferred to the Council - Poor roads and access from Village - No funding to provide facilities - May not be delivered
