2 MSA 604 COURSE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Upon successfully completing MSA 604, the student will be able to: Demonstrate an understanding of the complexities of globalization and its implications for organizations. Understand how cultural variables interact to shape the perceptions of individuals within society and organizations. Identify fundamental concepts, principles and theories relevant to understanding cultural differences and similarities in the world of work. Describe the effects cultural variables have on the administrative process and apply cultural understanding to the effective strategic planning and administration of global and multicultural organizations. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective administrator and/or worker in a culturally diverse work place. Understand the role of organizational polices, practices, design, and structure in facilitating diversity management strategies. Demonstrate an applied knowledge of the APA style and format.

3 Possible topics of papers
Cultural Awareness Can the student take into account the population, economy, language standards, religions, and ethnicities present in the organization/situation under investigation? Integration/Training Have current events, leaders, business impacts and opportunities from a diversity perspective been taken into account? Management Theories What are the tips for working and/or doing business in the cultural context of the organization – what are the theories behind the practice? Student’s Concentration Can the concentration be explained from a multicultural perspective, i.e. differences in culture that impact the concentration, and intercultural negotiations/communication's opportunities of the concentration?
