The risk of motor vehicle crashes is higher among year-olds than among any other age group. In fact, per mile driven, teen drivers ages 16 to 19 are nearly three times more likely than drivers aged 20 and older to be in a fatal crash. Source:

4 Seat Belts Of the teens (aged 13-20) who died in passenger vehicle crashes in 2013 approximately 56% were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Research shows that seat belts reduce serious crash-related injuries and deaths by about half. Source:

8 Jumpstarting a Car Pull cars close to one another without touching. Turn “live” car off. For automatic car(s), put in park. For manual transmissions, put car(s) in neutral.

9 Jumpstarting a Car Set the parking brake on both cars.
Set jumper cables on the ground making sure clamps do not touch

10 Jumpstarting a Car Step #1 – “Red on Dead” Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal on the dead battery. For a solid connection, you may have to wiggle the clamp a bit. +

11 Jumpstarting a Car Step #2 – Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal on the donor (live) battery. +
