2 Care & Repair England Aims To innovate, develop, promote and support
housing policies and initiatives which enable older and disabled people to live independently in their homes for as long as they wish.

3 Care & Repair England Strategic Objectives
Raise awareness of the scale and nature of the impact of poor and unsuitable housing on the health and well being of older and disabled people and influence change, particularly in the health sector. Develop and promote new and diverse services which help to address the needs of older & disabled people in poor housing. Encourage the participation of service users in the development and delivery of any of the services it may promote.

National training programme for the health sector A briefing on housing for the Single Assessment Process Teaching materials for nurses and health professionals The Safer Homes, Healther Lives Toolkit to explain the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and provide the opportunity to practise its wider application Good practise “cameos” for HHSRS

Report on current provision & recommendations regarding national schemes Supported by Department of Health with HACT and Lloyds TSB For commissioners, planners and providers Report is launched on 9th March at Conference on Prevention Report and discussion page soon to be on Care & Repair website
