Jesus, our example to imitate 1 Peter 2:21-25, 1 Corinthians 11:1 Philippians 2:5, 1 John 2:6, Galatians 2:20 Let His light shine in and from us – Philippians 2:15-16, Ephesians 5:8

3 Vs. 1 – Beauty of Jesus seen in me
Beauty – things pleasing to the senses Many things in this life are beautiful Can also describe pleasant character – courteous, behaved, smiling – 1 Peter 3:3 – the inner person of the heart Philippians lovely 2 Corinthians 10:9, Colossians 1:10 – fully pleasing Him A quality of humanity (cf. Genesis 1:26)

Jesus lived a beautiful life He was sinless – 1 Peter 2:22, Hebrews 4:15-16, cf. John 8:46 He was pleasing to the Father – Matthew 3:17, 17:5

All His wonderful passion and purity He was busy – John 9:4, Acts 10:38 He cared – John 10:11-15, cf. 1 Peter 5:7 Compassionate – Matthew 9:36, 14:14, 15:32, 20:34 He died for us! 1 Peter 2:24, 3:18, Romans 3:242-5, 2 Corinthians 5:21

May His spirit divine, all my being refine we strive to imitate Him! Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me

7 Vs. 2 – When facing burdens
When your burden is heavy and hard to bear Burden – something heavy and oppressive. A weight, cf. Hebrews 12:1. Life is not easy! Sometimes made more difficult by the choices we make. It may seem impossible! Take up your cross - Matthew 16:24, 10:38

8 Vs. 2 – When facing burdens
When your neighbors refuse all your load to share There is a personal load we each have – Galatians 6:5 But there are heavy burdens that we can and should help each other with - Galatians 6:2 Sadly sometimes, we are not there for one another. NOTE: Be careful before placing blame on others. Are you responsible? 1 Peter 2: Do you let them be known? James 5:16

When you’re feeling so blue, don’t know just what to do… Are we discouraged? Are we worrying? Cf. Matthew 6: Are we facing something we just don’t know the answer to, or how it will turn out? Maybe we are just in our concerns Whatever the case…

Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in you Turn to Him Matthew 11: Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in you Keep going, don’t give up – Luke 9:62, Hebrews 10: Jesus never gave up! He bore His cross - John 19:17, Hebrews 12:2 Let others see us put our trust in Him – 1 John 5:4, 1 Peter 1:7 He will never forsake you – Hebrews 13:5, 2 Timothy 4:16-17

12 Vs. 3 – When you are mistreated
When somebody has been so unkind to you Not all are Christians, nor do they have interest in godly conduct! John 3:19- 20 Some word spoken that pierces you through and through - words do hurt. 1 Peter 4:5 – those who see your changed life think it strange. Jesus warned they would be delivered – Mark 13:9-13

13 Vs. 3 – When you are mistreated
Think how He was beguiled, spat upon and revile – as Jesus was about to be executed – Matthew 26:59-68, Mark 14:65 Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in you - He opened not His mouth – Mark 14:60, 15:3-4 “Father forgive them” – Luke 23:34 Matthew 5:44-46, 1 Peter 2:23 1 Peter 4:1 – arm yourselves also with the same mind

14 Vs. 4 – Let it be always From the dawn of the morning to close of day – all the time – Luke 9:23, Galatians 2:20 In example, in deeds and in all you say – whatever you do – Colossians 3:17, cf. Matthew 12:34-37 – your words reflect your heart 1 Peter 4:11 – that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ,…

15 Vs. 4 – Let it be always Lay your gifts at Him – in all things we belong to Him. We are sacrificing to Him – Galatians 2:20, Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 13:15-16, 1 Peter 2:5 Ever try to be sweet – beautiful –being pleasant. Cf. Gentleness, caring, consideration 1 Corinthians 13:4, Colossians 3:12, cf. Galatians 5:22 – kindness Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in you! Let it be who you are!
