2. Youth Centres
Lanark County provided funding in 2015 of $175,000 for the following Youth Centres:
Carleton Place and District Youth Centre
Lanark Highlands Youth Centre
Youth Action Kommittee
Smiths Falls and District Club for Youth
Mississippi Mills Summer Program

3. Youth Centres
Youth Centres continue to gather data through their ongoing registration process which they developed as a coalition to gather common data. Following is a brief summary of each Youth Centre which was provided in their annual report.

2015 Highlights
Programs- 4H with over 46 members completing 4 projects. The Youth Centre paid for all membership fees to ensure the program was accessible to all youth.
CPR/First Aid, Babysitting Courses, Paddlemaking, sports programs
Local Involvement in Adopt-A-Road, Christmas Parade, and BBQ fundraisers for the Scarlett Run.
The centre hosted multiple excursions throughout the year. Including: Canoeing, Mont Cascade, L’il Rays Reptiles, Pan Para Pan Games.

2015 Highlights
Participation in numerous community events, raise awareness of Centre and services. Numerous fundraising opportunities ie Polar Bear Plunge, Great Tay Duck Race, Summer Camp Activities, Stewart Park Festival
Increase in programs offered (ie. Fitness Club)
Executive Director able to secure multiple grants.
Referrals for mental health services, housing outreach services
Looking at moving into a larger space and shared services with other agencies.

Increase in membership over last year with a total 697 registered members with 6669 visits.
Staff busy implementing new programs, as well as maintaining the current programs offered.
Hosted another successful golf tournament this year raising $11,500.
Had multiple events; Pool Tournaments, yoga workshops, Mont Cascades, Laser Tag, Logo’s Land

7. Smiths Falls and District Club for Youth
2015 Highlights
Increased hours of operation from 30 to 40 hrs per week
Applied for several grants- Six grants were approved throughout the year that help with the costs associated with staff, snack programming, After School Sports and Recreation, on site renovations
Held multiple special events throughout the year that included; United Way – My Town’s got Talent, Dances, Street Toll, Service Club partnerships, Festival volunteers
Referrals to community service agencies mental health, Housing services
