3 Remember…. Draft #1/Outline due next class!
This can be rough (handwritten – no Works Cited required). **Graphic Organizer on website** I’m specifically looking for a good claim!

4 Chapter 3/4 review questions
(remember to back-up all of your answers with QUOTES from the novel): 1. What is the role of the pigs during the harvest and what does this show us? Who is the hardest worker? Find a quote to back up your answer Which two animals seem to disagree about everything? Why do you think this is the case? What happened to the disappearing milk from chapter II? Why is this significant? Briefly explain what happened in the Battle of the Cowshed What was Snowball’s part in this battle? Where was Napoleon during the battle? What does this tell us about the type of leader he is? How did Boxer react to almost killing a human? What does this tell us about his nature? What do you think about the fact Snowball was awarded ‘Animal Hero: first class’?

6 Animal Farm - Chapter 5 1. Who does Mollie represent and why does she run away from the farm? 2. Why does Snowball want to build a windmill? 3. In your opinion, is the windmill a good plan? Explain your answer fully. 4. We finally find out what happened to the puppies. What was it and who/what do they represent? 5. Explain the changes Napoleon puts in place after Snowball is chased off the farm. 6. Why don’t the animals protest these changes and stand up to Napoleon? 7. What is Squealer’s role on the farm and how successful at it is he? 8. Why do the dogs accompany Squealer when he goes to the other animals? 9. What do you imagine the future holds for the animals on the farm?

7 Animal farm - chapter 5 Important points w/discussion to follow
Mollie is in communication with the men on the neighboring farms We start to see the real differences between Snowball and Napoleon and their leadership styles. We finally find out what happened to the puppies... Napoleon runs Snowball off the farm and is now in control. Squealer is used to placate the other animals.

EVERYONE needs the answers in their notebook! Restate the question Use textual evidence on at least two responses w/proper citation Be sure and answer all aspects of the prompt!
