Use of clear folders to circle some preselected features in a pre selected high interest text
Include share time –what we learned, what was exciting, surprising etc

Assign lesson tiles to different groups, use a variety of student center resources

Choice of e-book vs. printed text or media (magazine)
Choice of selected text feature (one group finds bold print versus captions)
Choice of product: mini brochure with pictures, post its and labels, teacher time and checklists
