Evaluation: Students will be evaluated based on their “shapes” (drawing what you see and not using “symbols” from younger years), lines, proportions, participation, and thoughtful reflection.

Be sure to consider the background. There should be something there, but consider not making it toooooo complex.
Avoid having anyone else in your picture.
No, you may not add a filter that gives you cat ears, whiskers, etc, or anything of that sort. The image should actually be of you.
Yes, you may use a selfie you took before today if you’d like to do so.

Don’t try to draw your facial features; that’s difficult. Instead, pay attention to the highlights and shadows and draw those (it’ll come together little by little).
Consider turning off the function on your cellphone that rotates the screen automatically and draw this upside down. You might find it easier.

12. No, you don’t need to shade like I did.
In fact, don’t shade. We haven’t learned shading yet, so lines will work just fine.
