Please write down the following notes: Color is the reflection of light off of objects. Primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. All other colors are made by mixing these colors. Secondary colors – green, orange, violet Tertiary colors – red-orange, red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange Complementary colors are colors across from each other on the color wheel. Analogous colors are a set of 3 colors touching each other on the color wheel.

Look at the image by Andy Warhol and answer the following questions:  Did he use color schemes; if so, which ones? Do you think it was fair that he took a picture of Marilyn Monroe and edited it without permission? Why or why not? Many believe that Warhol made Marylin an “infinitely reproducible image.” What are you feelings on this statement?

29 Art Comp Warm Up – 8/22 Look at the image by Andy Warhol and write the following notes: Andy Warhol was a Pop Artist. He mass produced his work. Warhol used people and everyday things in his artwork.

Take a look at the paintings on the board from my other Drawing/Painting class and answer the following questions: What do you like about these paintings? How could they improve their paintings before finishing them?
